Cobb Parkway, Roswell Street Reopened After Gas Leak

One southbound lane of Cobb Parkway and all eastbound lanes of Roswell Street from Key Drive to Cobb Parkway were shut down Monday because of a gas leak.

Update, 8:50 p.m.

The gas leak was repaired shortly before 7:30 p.m. All lanes of Cobb Parkway and Roswell Street are now open.

Update, 5:50 p.m.

All North and Southbound lanes of Cobb Parkway at Roswell Street are open. The right-turn lane from Eastbound Roswell Street to Southbound Cobb Parkway is still closed.

Marietta Fire Department and Atlanta Gas Light crews are on the scene of a gas main break at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Roswell Street.

One southbound lane of Cobb Parkway is shut down as well as all eastbound lanes of Roswell Street from Key Drive to Cobb Parkway.

Repairs are expected to take two to four hours and drivers are urged to avoid the area, according to Marietta Police.

A construction crew struck and ruptured the gas main on Cobb Parkway just before 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
