Condominum Fire in Cobb
No injuries have been reported as a building at the Willows by the River complex was damaged late Thursday afternoon.
Cobb Fire Department crews battled a blaze at an East Cobb condominium complex late Thursday afternoon, but no injuries have been reported.
Lt. Dan Dupree of the Cobb Fire Department told East Cobb Patch crews were dispatched to the Willows by the River community, located at 4040 Riverlook Parkway near Columns Drive, around 4:20 p.m.
Fox 5 Atlanta first reported that the roof of a building "appeared to be fully consumed" in flames.

Dupree said all 10 units of the three-story building were damaged by smoke, and several were heavily damaged by fire. He said the most extensive damage was done to the middle of the building, where the roof collapsed.
Dupree said the building was evacuated, but did not immediately know how many people were forced to leave.

Six engines, two ladder trucks and a battalion chief were called to the scene, according to Dupree, who said the fire took about an hour to get under control.
Crews were continuing to work floor-by-floor Thursday evening to completely put out the fire.
Dupree said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
