Teen Dies from Crash Injuries

Ryan Aschenbach, 18, died on Sunday.

A two-vehicle crash Saturday evening on Trickum Road near its intersection with Netherstone Drive killed one person and injured three others.

According to a news release from the , a blue 2006 Volvo S40 driven by 18-year-old Ryan Aschenbach of , was traveling north on Trickum Road. Aschenbach lost control of the vehicle, crossed over the double yellow lines and entered the southbound travel lane, where the Volvo collided with a gold 1998 Lexus GS400, driven by 52-year-old Joanne Green of Roswell.

Officials said the reason for Aschenbach losing control of the Volvo is unknown.

Aschenbach was transported to for treatment and died from his injuries on Sunday. Green and 18-year-old Tyler Seaman, a passenger in the Volvo, also were taken to Wellstar Kennestone for treatment. A third occupant in the Volvo, Christopher Heitzman, 18, of Marietta, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.

No charges are expected to be filed. Anyone with information which may assist investigators with this case is asked to call 770-499-3987.
