Ex-Southern Poly Coach Cleared of Theft Charge

Millard Thomas Dillon of Kennesaw said he wants to move on with his career.

In April, a warrant was issued for the arrest of a former Southern Polytechnic State University assistant men's basketball coach accused of stealing money from the school.

Today, the university said Millard Thomas Dillon of Kennesaw didn't .

"The charges were dismissed," school spokeswoman Sylvia Carson said this morning. "The matter has been resolved."

Carson offered no other details about the case or Dillon, who was employed at Southern Poly from July 6, 2009 until Oct. 2, 2012.

In an email to Patch, Dillon said the "the investigation into the allegations was one sided" and he wants to "move on with my career."
