La Tiendita, Kroger Store Fail Alcohol Compliance Checks

The Cobb County Police Department's Permits/Regulatory Services Unit conducted an Alcohol Compliance Check in Marietta.

On Feb. 16,  the Cobb County Police Department's Permits/Regulatory Services Unit conducted an Alcohol Compliance Check. During the operation, 20 retail establishments were checked for compliance.

The following Marietta businesses passed the compliance check by not selling alcohol to the underage volunteers:

  • La Cabana, 1651 Powder Springs Rd. Ste 1-2, Marietta 30064
  • Texaco Food Mart, 1655 Powder Springs Rd., Marietta 30064
  • Publix (#122), 1750 Powder Springs Rd. Ste 400, Marietta 30064
  • Vizo Wine and Spirits, 1750 Powder Springs Rd. Ste 310, Marietta 30064
  • Wings Pizza N Things, 1812 Powder Springs Rd. Ste 2046, Marietta 30064
  • Quick Food Store, 2525 Powder Springs Rd., Marietta 30064
  • Texaco Food Mart, 2651 Powder Springs Rd., Marietta 30064
  • QuikTrip (#713R), 1350 South Cobb Dr., Marietta 30060
  • Speedy Mart, 2270 Austell Rd., Marietta 30008
  • Austell Chevron, 2688 Austell Rd., Marietta 30008
  • Brunswick Zone Austell, 2750 Austell Rd., Marietta 30008
  • Mexico Lindo, 3565 Austell Rd. Ste 2-3, Marietta 30008

The following locations failed compliance checks and sold to underage volunteers:

  • La Tiendita, 2200 Powder Springs Rd. Ste 168, Marietta 30064 (Issued citations for Underage Sale and a Permit Violation)
  • Kroger Store (#498), 1690 Powder Springs Rd., Marietta 30064 (Issued citation for Underage Sale)


The following locations passed the compliance check but were issued citations for permits violations:

  • Stop & Shop, 2097 Austell Rd., Marietta 30008—1 citation
  • Pasta Bella, 3696 Austell Rd., Marietta 30008—2 citations

This is a fine example of freedom being too much to handle for some folks. The idiots who gave theRead More kid the gun should be jailed. Its obvious that a 5 year old should neither posses, nor handle a firearm period. Having said that I am a full supporter of the Second Amendment and the NRA. However we cannot measure the validity of the right to bear arms by using these idiot parents as a case study.
