Steven Mize, 54, was hit head-on while riding his motorcycle Sept. 30.

Marietta motorcyclist Steven Thomas Mize, 54, died Sunday in Florida from injuries he suffered in a collision Sept. 30, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Mize spent the final 16 days of his life at Baptist Health Care’s Gulf Breeze Hospital after being hit by a 2008 Acura TLS on Gulf Boulevard in Santa Rosa County, the Pensacola News Journal reported.

Mize was riding east on his 2003 Dyna Low Harley-Davidson about 8:40 a.m. Sept. 30 when the westbound Acura sedan, driven by 27-year-old Penny Lynn Wilcox, tried to turn left into a driveway and hit him head-on, the Northwest Florida Daily News said.
