Marietta Man Killed, Four Others Injured in Powder Springs Road Accident

A Marietta man died at the scene as a result of injuries he sustained in a two-car accident on Powder Springs Road Saturday.

A man was killed in an accident on Powder Springs Road in Marietta on Saturday, July 14, when his Honda Accord moved into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the black 1999 Honda Accord, while traveling northbound on Powder Springs Road near Pamela Circle, failed to maintain his lane and collided with a silver 2002 BMW X5.

The driver, identified as 21-year-old Jordan Irby of Marietta, died at the scene as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash.

The right front passenger of the Honda, 19-year-old Kandice Grace of Marietta,  was transported to where she was being treated for serious injuries.

A second passenger in the Honda, 20-year-old Justin Grace of Marietta, was transported to Kennestone Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the BMW, Jesus Estrada-Hernandez, 41, of Marietta, and his juvenile passenger were also taken to Kennestone Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
