Speed and possibly alcohol were factors, Fort Payne police say.

Eleazar Felipe Colunga Posadas died at the scene of the two-vehicle wreck near St. Philip’s Episcopal Church about 2:30 p.m., Fort Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum told the newspaper.

Bynum said Posadas lost control of his Nissan Maxima, which veered across the road and was struck in the driver’s door by a Mercury Mountaineer driven by a Fort Payne resident who was slightly injured, the Times-Journal reported.
