Marietta Officer Injured in Atlanta Road, South Marietta Parkway Crash

The crash occurred at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday on Atlanta Road in the intersection with the South Marietta Parkway.

The Marietta Police Department S.T.E.P. (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) unit is investigating a crash involving an officer, Public Information Officer David Auld said.

The crash occurred at 4:16 p.m. on Atlanta Road in the intersection with the South Marietta Parkway.

The Marietta Police officer was responding emergency (lights and siren) to a fight-in-progress call near the same location as the crash, Auld said.

The officer was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital via Metro Ambulance and is currently listed in stable condition.

There were three other vehicles involved in the crash, but there are no others injuries. The crash remains under investigation.Β
