Marietta Police Seek Sexual Assault, Armed Robbery, Kidnapping Suspect

The perpetrator offered the victim a ride. He brandished a handgun during the assault that took place in the back seat of the vehicle.

The Marietta Police Department is investigating the sexual assault, armed robbery and kidnapping of a woman that occurred on Lake Drive near Claymore Drive.

On Dec. 5, at around 4:30 p.m., the suspect was driving an older model white Ford Crown Victoria with an unknown taxi company logo described as having red lettering, according to a press release from the Marietta Police Department.

The perpetrator offered the victim a ride. He brandished a handgun during the assault that took place in the back seat of the vehicle, according to the release. The victim was allowed to leave the vehicle after the assault.

The perpetrator was last seen traveling toward South Marietta Parkway. He is described as possibly being a Hispanic male, 6’2” tall and about 40-45 years old, according to the release.

He has a scar over the right eye, a tattoo of a teardrop below the left eye and a large tattoo of a bird or eagle with red eyes on one of his forearms.
