Marietta Waffle House Robbed

The Cobb County Police Department seeks the public's assistance.

Robbers, one of them armed with a black semiautomatic handgun, hit the Waffle House at 3635 Austell Rd. this morning, and the Cobb County Police Department needs help locating them.

Just before 2:30 a.m., two black men with blue bandanas covering their faces entered the restaurant and demanded that the cashier open the cash register, said Officer Mike Bowman, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and a small safe directly below the register before fleeing from the Waffle House in opposite directions, he said.
