iPhone Tracking Device Helps Nab Armed Robbery Suspect
According to the Atlanta Police Department, a pair of men were arrested overnight after robbing several women in Midtown of purses and electronics, including an iPhone that had a tracking device that led authorities to the thieves.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday evening, APD Zone 5 units responded to a pedestrian robbery call at The Biltmore, located at 817 West Peachtree Street. According to APD Officer Kim Jones, five female victims told the officers they had been robbed at gunpoint in the driveway of The Biltmore by two male suspects

Ball Ground Collision Injures One
A 58-year-old Ball Ground woman was injured early Friday after her convertible collided with a tractor trailer on East Cherokee Drive near Creekside Way, authorities said.
Mary Corridori was flown to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries after the 7 a.m. accident, said Lt. Jay Baker, the spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said.

Buford Athlete Dies Three Days After Collapsing at School
A 16-year-old Buford teen has died three days after collapsing during a workout at Buford High School, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Adam Smith, a varsity basketball player, was running during a Sept. 13 preseason workout when he stopped to tell a teacher he was not feeling well. Moments later, Smith collapsed and was transported to Northside Hospital-Forsyth where he died Sunday night. (Click here to read the full AJC article).
