North Carolina Fugitive Caught in Marietta
In addition to the three North Carolina charges, the suspect now faces charges of obstruction, loitering and prowling, and being a fugitive from justice in Georgia.
Aaron Jarell Rodman, 26, was taken into custody in Marietta on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
A resident on Wisteria Drive called Marietta Police to report a suspicious person walking around a neighboring house and looking through the windows.
The caller said that they knew the residents of the house were not home and was concerned that the suspect was casing the house. The caller also stated that the suspect was occupying a white Nissan Maxima.

Police responded and observed the vehicle leaving the area and initiated a vehicle stop, according to spokesman David Baldwin. An officer obtained the suspect's driver’s license and discovered he had outstanding felony warrants out of North Carolina, including one in the rape of a juvenile.
Rodman fled in his vehicle and was able to lose the officers, according to Baldwin. However, Marietta Police found Rodman's vehicle unoccupied next to a house on Bellemeade Way.

A perimeter was established. The suspect walked out of a wooded creek area and was taken into custody without incident.
In addition to the three North Carolina charges, Rodman now faces charges of obstruction, loitering and prowling, and being a fugitive from justice in Georgia.
The suspect is being held without bond at the Cobb County Jail awaiting extradition.
