One Fatality Confirmed in I-285 Wreck in Cobb
All eastbound lanes of I-285 were closed for several hours at the Powers Ferry Road overpass after an accident near I-75.
A three-vehicle accident on Interstate 285 eastbound just west of the Chattahoochee River shut down all lanes of traffic for several hours Thursday night.
A semi tractor trailer, a small pickup truck and a passenger car were involved in the accident, but the circumstances of the accident are still under investigation, said Cobb Police Sgt. Dana Pierce.
Pierce confirmed one fatality, a passenger in the pickup. The driver has been taken to the hospital, but Pierce had no updates on his condition.
