Evidence Indicates Multiple Deceptions by Husband of Shooting Victim

Emails from Michael Parson to the woman he was believed to be secretly engaged to show Parson said he was unmarried, according to a WSB-TV News report.

The Texas Highway Patrol arrested Michael Parson, in May, following a traffic stop. He fled Georgia as police investigated his wife’s shooting. Adina Parson suffered eight gunshot wounds, three in the head on April 20, outside her apartment at the Residences of Morgan Falls off Roswell Road.

Parent to School Board: 'Embarrassed' by Member's Actions

The husband of a system employee who school board Vice Chairman Angie Cornett called by name in a previous public meeting said Cornett violated the board's own policy. Canton Police Debut New Uniforms Friday 

On Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, you will see Officers of the Canton Police Department (CPD) sporting a “new” look.  Since 1987, Officers of the CPD have worn grey shirts and navy trousers.  On Friday, the uniform worn by Officers will change to midnight blue trousers and shirts. .

Students Protest at North Atlanta High

North Atlanta High School students left class Wednesday in protest of the removal of school administrators last week, according to news reports.

The students were sitting on the football field on the campus around 12 p.m. in protest.

Mark MyGrant, the interim prtincipal at North Atlanta High School, and his administrative leadership at the Buckhead school were removed from their posts late Friday with little public explanation from school district officials.

24 Hours of Booty Bike Ride

Sandy Springs seems a natural home for the 24 Hours of Booty bike ride. It’s home to the largest Booty team in the country, Team Pirate Treasure, which has 104 participants in this weekend’s event.

A 2.5 mile course will be open for cyclists through the Mount Vernon Woods community from 2 p.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday. Last year Pirate Treasure raised more than $77,500 for cancer research.
