Taxi Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Marietta

A taxi cab driver for A-1 Taxi was robbed near the intersection of Hollydale Court and Red Berry Lane in Marietta on Jan. 4.

The Cobb County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery, which occurred near the intersection of Hollydale Court and Red Berry Lane in Marietta on Jan. 4.

According to investigators, a taxi cab driver for A-1 Taxi was dispatched to pick up a fare at a residence on Hollydale Court. When he arrived near the intersection of Red Berry Lane, two men got into the back seat while a third man approached the car on foot.

As the man who was approaching the car got closer, he began demanding money from the driver. At the same time, one of the two men in the back seat produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim.

All three perpetrators fled from the area on foot after the victim gave them cash and other personal items.

One of the perpetrators is described as a black man, 5’07” with a medium build, wavy hair and light colored eyes.
