Three Indicted in Milo's Bar Shooting

Shooting victim Takilam Terrell of Sandy Springs died at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

A Cobb County grand jury has indicted three people in connection with the death of a Sandy Springs man inside Milo’s Bar and Grill.

Dennis Lee Hampton, Trina Lesley Chatman and Joseph Ricky Hampton have been charged with two counts each of murder and aggravated assault, according to the Marietta Daily Journal. Dennis Lee Hampton, the alleged shooter, was also charged with a third count of murder and two counts of use of a firearm by a convicted felon during a crime, according to the MDJ.

Marietta police responded to a "person shot" call at Milo’s Bar and Grill about 3 a.m. April 7, and discovered 34-year-old Sandy Springs resident Takilam Terrell in a parking lot, Marietta Det. Christopher Lindsey said at the time.

Terrell was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with a gunshot wound. He underwent emergency surgery, but died later that morning.

Dennis Hampton, 42, of Marietta, surrendered to Cobb authorities on April 9. About 3:30 p.m. that same day, the Cobb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit arrested 36-year-old Trina Lesley Chatman and 48-year-old Joseph Ricky Hampton at the Bentley Manor Apartments in East Cobb, Cobb County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Nancy Bodiford said.

The trio remains in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
