Three Men Pose as Police, Attempt to Break into Home
The perpetrators were wearing masks and dark clothing with vests displaying "POLICE" on the back. One of the men was armed with a shotgun.
are investigating an attempted home invasion, which occurred at a residence on Chisholm Trail Wednesday.
A male resident heard the perpetrators banging at the back door and telling him to let them in because they were the police.
The resident refused, and the perpetrators attempted to gain entry into the house by forcing the locked door open. The man gathered his family into another room and immediately called 9-1-1.

The perpetrators fled in an unknown direction without gaining entry. They were described as three black men, about 6-foot with a thin build. They were wearing masks and dark clothing with vests displaying “POLICE” on the back. One of the men was armed with a shotgun.
When Cobb County Police are attempting to make contact with the residents of a dwelling, they normally will announce themselves at the front door and will be easily identifiable as police officers.
