Town Center Sears, Marietta Walmart Armed Robbery Suspect in Custody

The suspect entered the Chastain Meadows Parkway Wal-Mart and later the Town Center Mall Sears and took merchandise. When he was confronted by loss prevention personnel, he pulled a knife.

A man was taken into custody on Friday for armed robbery and aggravated assault, according to a press release from Cobb County Police. 

On Wednesday afternoon, the suspect entered the Wal-Mart located at 2795 Chastain Meadows Parkway in Marietta and bypassed the cash registers, taking merchandise from the store, according to the press release.

When he was confronted outside, he pulled a knife on the loss prevention personnel and fled the area in what was described as a light blue 1994 Ford Crown Victoria bearing a Georgia license plate.

About three hours later, the same man entered the Sears store (Town Center Mall) located at 400 Ernest Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw.

Once again after bypassing all of the cash registers, he pulled a knife on loss prevention personnel when he was confronted. The suspect then fled the area in what was described as a light blue 1994 Ford Crown Victoria, according to the release.

The suspect (whose identity has not yet being released) is facing a number of charges including armed robbery, aggravated assault, theft by receiving and shoplifting.
