Warrant: Life University Faculty Member Receives Death Threat

The suspect, according to a warrant, suffers from multiple acute mental illnesses and phobias.

A mentally ill man allegedly left a death threat on the work voicemail of a Life University faculty member.

Arya Tajbakhsh suffers from multiple acute mental illnesses and phobias, according to an arrest warrant.

Over the course of several days in late July and early this month, Tajbakhsh allegedly left "rambling" voicemails about "conspiracies involving faculty, staff, and students of Life University as well as various domestic and foreign corporate and government entities."

When the voicemails and conversations did not have the desired effect and response, Tajbakhsh allegedly threatened the faculty member.

"Accused did call said victim and did leave an irate, angry voicemail in which said accused advised her to contact Marietta Police because 'I will kill you.' "

Tajbakhsh was arrested Friday in Smyrna on a charge of terroristic threats. He was released the same day on $2,500 bond.
