Warrant: Woman Tried to Pick Up Fraudulent Prescription

She was arrested Friday in Marietta.

A Flowery Branch woman is accused of trying to pick up a fraudulent prescription from a Marietta CVS Pharmacy.

Shatasha Micole Roberts drove to the Milford Church Road CVS Pharmacy Friday evening on an expired license to pick up a prescription of Tramadol for her sister, according to the arrest warrant.

"Accused refused to give her sister's address, telephone number, or any other contact information for her sister," according to the warrant.

The prescription was called in using the unique Drug Enforcement Agency number assigned to a Suwanee physicians assistant. When CVS tried to verify the prescription, they learned the assistant was not even at work when the prescription was allegedly called in to the CVS, according to the warrant.

Roberts was arrested Friday on one count each of obtaining drugs by fraud, driving without a license and identity fraud. The latter charge is a felony.

She was released Saturday on $7,000 bond.
