AETC Commander Lands at Dobbins

Gen. Edward A. Rice Jr. is responsible for the recruiting, training and education of Air Force personnel.

Gen. Edward A. Rice Jr., Air Education and Training Command, commander, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, arrived at Dobbins Air Reserve Base Monday and was greeted by Timothy E. Tarchick, 94th Airlift Wing and Capt. Quincy D. Hudson, 94th AW protocol officer.

Rice was also welcomed by personnel from Lockheed Martin including former Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force number 14, Gerald R. Murray.

Rice is responsible for the recruiting, training and education of Air Force personnel and includes the Air Force Recruiting Service, two numbered air forces and Air University.

Annually, AETC is responsible for the training of over 340,000 students and consists of 12 bases, employing more than 70,600 active-duty, Reserve, Guard, civilians and contractors, and 1,380 trainer, fighter and mobility aircraft.
