The Cobb County Central Library has a new name.
Commissioners Tuesday voted to name it after Charles D. Switzer, who oversaw digitization of the library’s catalog and construction of many libraries as a member of the library’s board of trustees, according to the blog for the Cobb County Public Library System.
After 30 years of service, Switzer retired from that board in 2012.
The county will hold a dedication ceremony for the newly-renamed facility at a later date.
