Cobb Jury Convicts Man of Molestation

A Cobb County jury on Thursday convicted an Atlanta man of molesting two young girls nearly three years ago in Marietta.

According to the Office of Cobb District Attorney Vic Reynolds, Joe Neil Glenn could face up to 40 years in prison for the April 2010 molestation of two 9-year-old girls.

Glenn, 50, lived with the victims at a Marietta home at the time that the acts occurred, said Kim Isaza, the spokeswoman for District Attorney Vic Reynolds.

Cobb Superior Court Judge James Bodiford has scheduled sentencing for 4 p.m. March 5. Glenn could be sentenced to up to 40 years in prison.

Senior Assistant District Attorney Eleanor Odom, who prosecuted the case, said, “This case is important because the victims were able to come to court, tell the jury what happened, have the jury believe them, and have justice served.”
