What's Closed Thanksgiving 2012 in Marietta?

Here is your Thanksgiving 2012 schedule for Marietta City Schools, MCS administrative offices, Cobb libraries, Marietta Power and Water, City of Marietta offices, police and fire, and sanitation and yard waste services.

City of Marietta administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23. City offices reopen: Monday, Nov. 26.

Cobb County offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23.

Marietta Power and Water administrative offices will also be closed for the holiday.

Marietta City Schools (MCS) will be closed for the Thanksgiving Break from Monday, Nov. 19 through Friday, Nov. 23. Classes end at all district schools Friday, Nov. 16 and resume Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.

Marietta City Schools’ central administrative offices, including the Department of Special Services, Transportation and Food Service offices, will close for the Thanksgiving Holiday from Wednesday, Nov. 21 through Friday, Nov. 23.  Regular operation hours resume at these locations, Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.

The Cobb County Public Library System will close Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. The libraries will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23. The system will reopen for regular library hours on Saturday, Nov. 24.

Sanitation and Yard Waste Services: Regular services for Thursday will be on Monday before the holiday.Regular services for Friday will be on Tuesday before the holiday. All Roll Cart customers will be serviced on Tuesday. Yard waste services will be on Wednesday.

Police, Fire and other services essential for public safety and health will remain open.
