Marietta City Council Approves Civil Service Board Election Results
Lawrence (Larry) A. Panetta qualified to fill the Post 4 vacancy for a three-year term expiring on Dec. 31, 2016.
On Oct. 9, the Marietta City Council approved the certified election results for the uncontested election for Post 4 of the Civil Service Board.

The Civil Service Board oversees public hearings for any non-probationary member of the Marietta Fire Department below the rank of deputy chief or of the Marietta Police Department below the rank of deputy chief that has been removed, discharged, demoted, adversely affected by the promotional process or involuntarily retired except for cause upon written charges or complaint.
