Milestone for Aviation in Cobb's McCollum Field

The Corporate Row Project included converting an undeveloped six-acre parcel into 100,000 sq. ft. of first-class new corporate hangar space.

Cobb County Board of Commissioners and officials from the Atlanta Executive Jet Center attended the ribbon cutting on $7million dollars in improvements, including 100,000 sq. ft. of new hanger space, at McCollum Field Friday morning.

The Corporate Row Project included converting an undeveloped six-acre parcel into 100,000 sq. ft. of first-class new corporate hangar space.

The project was constructed without any county funds. Atlanta Executive Jet Center, a private company, is the developer and operator of the site. The development will provide additional operating revenue to the airport.

The State Economic Impact Study found that major businesses ranked proximity to a general aviation airport as the 10th most important factor when deciding where to (re)locate. Airports connect Georgia's citizens and businesses to the rest of the state, the nation and the global economy.

Cobb County's McCollum Field plays a vital role in supporting the region with 842 jobs with an annual payroll of over $25 million with over $112 million in economic input for the local and regional economies.

Good grief, if the rifle can kill someone, why on earth would you give it to a five-year-old? ThisRead More one just boggles my mind. I hope that even the NRA has a problem with this.

This is a fine example of freedom being too much to handle for some folks. The idiots who gave theRead More kid the gun should be jailed. Its obvious that a 5 year old should neither posses, nor handle a firearm period. Having said that I am a full supporter of the Second Amendment and the NRA. However we cannot measure the validity of the right to bear arms by using these idiot parents as a case study.
