Nelson's Trial Delayed

Jury selection for the Nelson's trial is set to begin at 9 a.m. Nov. 28.

The , which was scheduled to occur Tuesday, has been postponed.

Nelson faces a trial on two misdemeanors—second-degree vehicular homicide and crossing a street elsewhere than a crosswalk—in the death of son A.J. on April 10, 2010.

Jury selection for the trial is set to begin at 9 a.m. Nov. 28, in courtroom 3A of the , according to the Associated Press.

Cobb County State Court Judge Kathryn Tanksley dismissed one of three charges against the Marietta-area mother on Oct. 5. Nelson no longer is charged with reckless conduct.

Nelson was convicted in July and sentenced to a year's probation and 40 hours of community service, but the judge offered her a new trial. Nelson and her attorney Steve Sadow took the judge up on the rare offer.
