Marietta City Council will meet for special-called committee meetings and a city council meeting Wednesday.

The following meetings are on the agenda in Marietta Wednesday, Oct. 26:

  • A special-called City Council meeting will be held 5:15 to 8 p.m. at in the Council Chamber immediately following Finance and Investment Committee. A motion to approve resolution calling for referendum on the adoption of of the at is on the agenda.
  • The Finance and Investment Committee will meet between 5:15 and 9 p.m. at in the Council Chamber. The committee will discuss the school board referendum and the $75,000 from United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta for one year of programing for the Franklin Road Early Learning Initiative.
  • The Personnel and Insurance Committee will meet between 5:15 and 9 p.m. immediately following the City Council meeting.
  • The will meet  between 5:15 and 8 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall following the Insurance Committee.
  • The Judicial Legislative Committee will meet between 5:15 and 8 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall following the Parks Committee.
  • The Economic/Community Development Committee will meet between 5:15 and 8 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall following the Judicial Committee.
  • The Public Works Committee will meet between 5:15 and 8 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall following the Economic/Community aDevelopment meeting. Business includes discussion of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Georgia Department of Transportation for transportation enhancement projects for , Cemetery Trail and to Chattahoochee River Gap Trail as well as the Canton Road and railroad bridge over Cobb Parkway.
  • The Public Safety Committee will meet between 5:15 and 8 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall following the Public Works Committee.
  • A special-called council meeting work session will follow the Public Safety Committee meeting in the Council Chamber.
