Master Sgt. Rosalyn L. Williams, Headquarters 22nd Air Force Tasker Division superintendent, retired Feb. 4 after 30 years of service at a ceremony held in the 22 AF Conference Center, Dobbins Air Reserve Base.

The ceremony was officiated by Maj. Gen. James T. Rubeor, special assistant to the commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command for Reserve Matters, Headquarters United States Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

General Rubeor is also the immediate past commander of 22 AF.

"Today we are honoring Master Sgt. Williams for years of service to our country," said Rubeor. "It also feels great to be back home."

"I would also like to thank her family," he added. "Without the support of our families, we would not be able to accomplish the Air Force mission."

Williams entered the Air Force in 1981, performing her Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, then training into her primary military specialty as an Administrative Specialist. She joined the Air Force Reserve in 1993.

Spending her entire Reserve career at Dobbins, Williams has served at the 622nd Regional Support Group, 94th Civil Engineering Squadron, 94th Airlift Wing Inspector General Office and 22 AF.

During her tenure at her last duty station, 22 AF, Williams worked as the Tasker Division superintendant, maintaining oversight of operational readiness and effectiveness of 13 subordinate airlift wings.

"Williams was the focal point for contingency and crisis action," said Rubeor. "We relied on her for daily updates on higher headquarters taskings. We wish her the best in her next phase of life."

Williams plans to take advantage of her retirement by traveling more and spending time with family.

"I spent eight years on active duty before joining the Reserves," said Williams. "I must say, I had much more fun as a Reservist, and I will miss each and every one of you."

"You all have really enhanced my career," she said.
