Ethics Committee

As the the third member of the Ethics Committee, applicants must be an attorney in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia. City Council will make the appointment to fill the vacancy following personal interviews. Applicants must be residents of the city of Marietta and shall serve a two-year term.

The purpose of the Ethics Committee is to review all complaints filed and determine whether there is clear and convincing evidence that a City Council member has violated this ethics code. The Ethics Committee consists of three persons, one appointed by the Mayor, one appointed by the Council and the third appointed by the first two above named subject to approval by a majority of the City Council.

If you are interested in serving, submit an application via e-mail to sguy@mariettaga.gov or by mail to the attention of Stephanie Guy, City Clerk 205 Lawrence St., Marietta, GA 30060.

Applications are located on the city's website at mariettaga.gov. Print and complete the form and mail to the above address or fax to 770-794-5523.
