Whitlock Avenue in Marietta is closed in front of Marietta High School due to a gas line break that occured on Friday around 1 p.m.

A construction crew hit and ruptured a gas main, according to the Marietta Daily Journal and 11 Alive.

Whitlock Avenue has been shut down in both directions between Burnt Hickory Road and Carriage Oaks Drive, according to 11 Alive and the MDJ.
