14 Cobb County Schools Among Most Challenging High Schools In The Country

Cobb County has 14 schools that made the cut as the most challenging high schools in America, according to the Washington Post.

Cobb County has proved itself to be quite brainy.

The Washington Post recently released its list of the most challenging high schools in the country, with 14 Cobb County schools of more than 2,000 making the cut.

The algorithm for measuring such standard is pretty simple: Researchers took the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given a year and divided that by the number of graduates at each school.

The Cobb County schools on the list are as follows:

183. Walton HS495. Lassiter HS755. Harrison HS936. Pope HS1058. Marietta HS1082. Campbell HS1133. Wheeler HS1184. North Cobb HS1206. Kell HS1334. Sprayberry HS1474. Hillgrove HS1523. Kennesaw Mountain HS1718. McEachern HS2001. Pebblebrook HS

The No. 1 school in the country for the third consecutive year was the American Indian Public Charter School in Oakland, Calif.
