Cobb Schools Extracurricular Activities May Resume Friday

As of late Thursday night, Marietta City Schools had yet to make a decision as to if or when it will open on Friday.

From the Cobb County School District:

All extracurricular activities may resume no earlier than 12 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014, and continue through the remainder of the weekend.

REMINDER:

  • All Cobb Schools and Facilities will be closed Friday, February 14th for Staff Furlough Day/Student Holiday.
  • Any staff not furloughed Friday may report to work at 10:00 a.m., or earlier if conditions allow.
  • All Schools and Facilities will be closed Monday, February 17th for Presidents' Day
  • All Cobb Schools will be closed Tuesday, February 18th for Staff Furlough Day/Student Holiday. Other CCSD Facilities and the Central Office WILL be open as usual Feb 18th. All Annual and Hourly Employees report as scheduled.

While weather conditions appear to be improving in the Cobb County and Metro area, and we expect school to be in session tomorrow, Friday, February 14, a final decision regarding school opening will not be made until road conditions are checked in the early morning hours.
