Title I Parent/ Partners In Education Community Resources Expo

Marietta City Schools (MCS) will host a Title I Parent/ Partners In Education - Community Resources Expo, Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marietta Sixth Grade Academy (MSGA) located at 340 Aviation Road in Marietta. The Expo will help families learn about MCS Partners in Education, and community-based organizations that provide valuable resources and assistance. Parent information sessions including financial literacy, school-to-home technology resources, and student study skills are also scheduled.

“This activity is a wonderful way for our families to learn about Partners in Education across the school system, and the organizations in the Marietta area that provide health, education, literacy, student, and family support resources and assistance to our Title I school community,” said Sarah Towler, Director, State and Federal Programs. “We also have some fun, family activities planned including elementary, middle and high school student performances.”

MSGA offers a unique educational experience to beginning middle school students. The school provides students with a transitional gateway to the secondary level. To prepare students for tomorrow’s challenges, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) at MSGA provides all students an interdisciplinary, student-centered academic program that develops a global perspective through inquiry-based learning. Students interested in pursuing a curriculum enriched with technology and engineering concepts may pursue the magnet program.
