Tuskegee Airmen: Conversation with the Curator

The Central Library is hosting the exhibit “Tuskegee Airmen: The Segregated Skies of World War II,” November 2 through January 2, 2012. This exhibit explores the history and heroism of the first African American pilots to fly in combat during World War II. The exhibit is on loan from Kennesaw State University’s Museum of History and Holocaust Education. It is available for viewing during regular library
hours. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

On November 30 at 3:30 p.m. Dr Jennifer Dickey, Coordinator of the Public History Program at Kennesaw State University will speak about the Tuskegee Airmen and their role as Civil Rights pioneers. Dr. Dickey will also explain how the exhibit was curated by public history
students at Kennesaw State University.
