Election Day Fun at Chick-fil-A

Arts @ West Cobb, a book author, youth entertainer and Marietta City Schools Partners in Education provided kids a day of fun at Chick-fil-A Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The West Cobb Chick-fil-A offered youth an Election day chance to vote...on their favorite milkshake. were closed for a very sunny November Tuesday, and many people were able to get out and enjoy a tasty lunch.

To their joyful surprise, Partners in Education came out in support. Children's book author Samantha DeGrasse, youth entertainer Kidazzl and Arts @ West Cobb provided storytelling, face paintings and crafts to children that dropped in for lunch.

DeGrasse is a mom and author of Taber is Beautiful, the story of a horse that is different and that no matter how others' words and actions can be cruel there is beauty in difference.

Kidazzl came out with her steady hand and sunny personality and brought her artistic vision to the faces of youth. She has a real passion and love for children.

has been busy moving into their new location on Marietta Square. They offer classes and lessons in theatre, art and rhythm and music. They brought glue and construction paper so the children could use their imaginations and create.

Jeff Suain is the owner-operator of two Marietta Chick-fil-A's, the West Cobb location on Dallas Highway and the location at the on Whitlock Avenue. Daryl McMillian is his Unit Marketing Director and together they work with as Partners in Education.

It is through this that they are able to provide community outreach on many levels, providing families with healthy food choices, a gathering place and events for church groups, schools and senior citizens.

Jeff is a supporter of 10 Ways to be an All Pro Dad, a program that is brought to communities by both Chick-fil-A and Dr Pepper. It is designed to increase public awareness about being a good father and to provide resources to enable all men to be better fathers.

West Cobb Chick-fil-A has served 550 meals to since Oct. 24. The goal by the end of the year is 3000.

Customers have been donating $6 each, even when they have little to give, to help bring food to the many times overlooked part of our community.
