Lockheed Coach Earns ISA Hall of Fame Induction

Coach Alan Brown, Lockheed Elementary physical education teacher, was inducted to the Independent Softball Association (ISA) Hall of Fame.

Coach Alan Brown, Lockheed Elementary physical education teacher, was inducted to the Independent Softball Association (ISA) Hall of Fame on Nov. 30.

Coach Brown began umpiring in 1976 and joined Georgia ISA in 1987.

In 2005, he was appointed to the Georgia ISA Deputy UIC and has held that position to present. Throughout his career as an umpire, Brown has earned numerous ISA recognitions, including Umpire of the Year (2001), and Southern Regional Umpire of the Year (2009).

He has participated in more than 13 World and National Tournaments and has officiated in over six states over the years.
