Marietta Awards Contracts for Trash and Therapist

The school board met in a special called meeting Tuesday afternoon to determine two separate contracts for service.

After a five minute special meeting Tuesday, the Marietta Board of Education awarded a new contract for trash service.

Advanced Disposal was the low bidder at $5,787 annually.

Also Tuesday, the board voted to approve an agreement with a school occupational therapist for children with disabilities through May 25, 2012.Β

The annual cost is not anticipated to exceed $27,000 and will be paid out of IDEA funds. Once a student count is completed, it would be paid out of general funds if the count warrants additional services.
