Marietta City Schools Earns Continuing AdvancEd SACS CASI Accreditation

Marietta City Schools announced that it has earned continuing accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), an accreditation division of AdvancED.

Marietta City Schools (MCS) announced notification that it has earned continuing accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), an accreditation division of AdvancED.

In October 2007, Marietta City Schools earned initial district accreditation as a quality school system from SACS CASI. District Accreditation is valid for five years and is the highest level of accreditation that a school system can receive from the SACS CASI organization.

“School System Accreditation as conferred by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission provides Marietta City Schools with a nationally-recognized mark of quality for our system and all the schools within our system,” said MCS Superintendent Emily Lembeck.
