Marietta Graduate in the Spotlight: Lauryn Webster

Marietta Patch is featuring a dozen recent Marietta High School graduates this week. Join us in congratulating them on their accomplishments and for their graduation from high school on May 28.

Lauryn Webster, 17

Accomplishments:  Prom queen; graduated with honors; played center for Marietta High Blue Devils girls basketball team and named team’s best defensive player with more than 100 blocks.

Best Memory of High School:  Senior Class campout on the backfield of Marietta High School

Post-graduation plans: Attending University of Wake Forest on a basketball scholarship.

Final thoughts about Marietta High and the Class of 2011: “Our class is very diverse and hard-working. We work as a collective unit and work well together.”

This is a fine example of freedom being too much to handle for some folks. The idiots who gave theRead More kid the gun should be jailed. Its obvious that a 5 year old should neither posses, nor handle a firearm period. Having said that I am a full supporter of the Second Amendment and the NRA. However we cannot measure the validity of the right to bear arms by using these idiot parents as a case study.
