Marietta High School JROTC Collects Funds for Gifts

Each year, JROTC cadets from metro Atlanta high schools collect donations throughout their community to help the Empty Stocking Fund provide gifts to more than 50,000 metro area children living in poverty.

For the tenth straight year, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) cadets participated in the annual fundraising campaign to benefit The Empty Stocking Fund.

MHS cadets collected over $7,400, exceededing 2010 collections by $1,200.

“This year, we collected more money than we ever have in our 10 years of participating in this service project,” said Lt. Col. James T. Wilson, MHS Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, in a press release.
