Marietta Holds Slim Playoff Lead
Here's what's happening in high school athletics in Marietta Patch on April 25.
The Marietta (11-11, 4-5) baseball team is not in an enviable position Monday. The Blue Devils hold a slim one game lead over fifth-place Walton, and must play the fifth-ranked team in the state, Etowah (18-6, 9-1).
Only the top four finishers in region play advance to the state tournament, so Marietta would like to pull an upset over Etowah to maintain its hold on that fourth spot.
