Marietta Honors School Psychologists

Four school psychologists support the needs of students across Marietta City Schools: Dr. Arlene Barrow, Ivette Beach, Caroline Schwefler and David Walker.

Marietta City Schools (MCS) salutes the work of its school psychologists. The National Association of School Psychologists has designated Nov. 12 through 16, as School Psychology Awareness Week.

Four school psychologists support the needs of students across Marietta City Schools:

  • Dr. Arlene Barrow,
  • Ivette Beach,
  • Caroline Schwefler, and
  • David Walker.

“This year’s School Psychology Awareness Week theme is Know Your Own Strengths. Discover them. Share them. Celebrate them,” said Donna Ryan, MCS Assistant Superintendent for Special Services.

“This year’s theme focuses on helping students and school staff to discover their strengths and to share and celebrate those strengths within the school community, their academics and their lives.”

School psychologists are dedicated to prevention, intervention, diagnostic assessment and progress monitoring. School psychologists help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally. They collaborate with educators, parents and other professionals to create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school and the community for all students.

Good grief, if the rifle can kill someone, why on earth would you give it to a five-year-old? ThisRead More one just boggles my mind. I hope that even the NRA has a problem with this.

This is a fine example of freedom being too much to handle for some folks. The idiots who gave theRead More kid the gun should be jailed. Its obvious that a 5 year old should neither posses, nor handle a firearm period. Having said that I am a full supporter of the Second Amendment and the NRA. However we cannot measure the validity of the right to bear arms by using these idiot parents as a case study.
