Marietta Schools Join with Business Partners for Community Resource Expo

More than 200 families took advantage of the city school's Title l/Partners in Education Community Expo on Saturday to learn about resources available to families.

The Marietta Sixth Grade Academy played host Saturday to this semester's Title l/Partners in Education Community Expo, which was atttend by more than 200 families. Sarah Towler, the district's Title 1 coordinator, and Principal Dayton Hibbs worked together with many others to organize and bring this expo together.

A mix of college representatives, area arts enthusiasts, family resource providers and technology experts were on hand to provide families with information. The school's lunch staff provided lunch in the academy courtyard. Cobb and Douglas county health officials provided immunizations.

The expo also featured performances from students at many of Marietta's schools.
