Eleven Marietta City Schools (MCS) students are among the system winners of the 2012-2013 Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition.
The purpose of the Young Georgia Authors (YGA) writing competition is to encourage students to develop enthusiasm for and expertise in their writing, to provide a context to celebrate their writing successes, and to recognize student achievement in arts and academics.
“Each year we look forward to naming the student winners of the annual Young Georgia Authors writing contest. This year’s entries were well-written, creative, and enjoyable to read,” said Jill Sims, MCS Executive Director, Curriculum and Instruction.
