MHS Named a Top High School

For the fourth consecutive year, U.S.News & World Report's annual list of the best high schools in the country, named Marietta High School one of the best high schools in the nation.

For the fourth consecutive year, U.S.News & World Report's annual list of the best high schools in the country, named Marietta High School (MHS) one of the best high schools in the nation.

Of the 21,035 public high schools examined by U.S. News, the magazine named MHS a silver medal winner, and ranked the school 1,463 nationally and 27th in Georgia.

“This year, Marietta High School earned a silver medal ranking once again, signifying our continued progress and gains on statewide assessments, preparing students for college, and student participation and achievement on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate tests,” said Dr. Emily Lembeck, Marietta City Schools Superintendent. “MHS also moved up significantly in the national rankings from 1,611 in 2012, to 1,463 in 2013,” added Lembeck.
