MSGA Assistant Principal Named GA Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year

Catherine Kacyvenski is the recipient of the Georgia Association of Middle School District 14 Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year Award.

Marietta Sixth Grade Academy (MSGA) Assistant Principal, Catherine Kacyvenski, is the recipient of the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals (GAMSP) District 14 – Georgia Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year Award

Kacyvenski is also one of two state finalists named for the Middle Level National Distinguished Assistant Principal of the Year Award sponsored by GAMSP and the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).

“Catherine is deserving of this recognition, and we are very proud of her. She is an exemplary leader and a dedicated educator,” said Emily Lembeck, Superintendent Marietta City Schools.

The Georgia Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year Award is presented to one assistant principal annually per GAMSP district. The winner of the National Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year Award is announced February 2013 at the annual Winter Georgia Association of Educational Leaders Conference.

The Georgia Association of Middle School Principals is the organization of and state voice for middle grades school principals, assistant principals, and aspiring school leaders in Georgia. GAMSP is one of six educational leadership organizations affiliated with the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL).
