MSGA Wins Effective Middle School Program Award

Marietta Sixth Grade Academy is the recipient of the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals Effective Middle School Program Award, which recognizes schools that exemplify the middle school philosophy and academic success.

Marietta Sixth Grade Academy (MSGA) is the recipient of the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals (GAMSP) Effective Middle School Program Award.

The award, presented to Gabe Carmona, MSGA Principal at the 2012 Annual GAMSP Fall Conference, recognizes those schools that best exemplify the middle school philosophy as well as academic success based on state and federal mandates.

“We celebrate the recognition bestowed on Marietta Sixth Grade Academy (MSGA),” said Emily Lembeck, Superintendent Marietta City Schools. “The professionalism and dedication to educational excellence of the administration, teachers and support staff at MSGA continues to prepare our students for the next level of academic achievement for life success.”

The Georgia Association of Middle School Principals is the organization of and state voice for middle grades school principals, assistant principals, and aspiring school leaders in Georgia. GAMSP is one of six educational leadership organizations affiliated with the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL).
