School District to Recognize Service of Retiring School Board Members

Tony Fasola has served on the board since 2006. Stuart Fleming has served on the Marietta School Board since 2010.

Marietta City Schools (MCS) will host a reception on Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. honoring two retiring members of the Board of Education of the City of Marietta: Tony Fasola and Stuart Fleming.

The reception at the administrative offices of Marietta City Schools, located at 250 Howard Street in Marietta, precedes the school board’s regularly scheduled monthly meeting and is open to the public.

Ward 2: Tony Fasola: Tony Fasola has served on the board since 2006 and his term of service ends in 2013.

Ward 5: Stuart Fleming: Stuart Fleming has served on the board since 2010 and his term of service ends in 2013.

“Marietta City Schools congratulates these school board members for their years of dedicated service and support to our students, staff and community,” said Dr. Emily Lembeck, MCS Superintendent, in a press release. “The opportunity to work with these two board members in a collaborative way, focused on student achievement district-wide has been rewarding and productive.”
